¬†Memorial Day weekend has come and gone, and with that came the unofficial kickoff to the summer season. I don’t know about you but my summer weekends will be spent outdoors, hopping around from one cookout to the next, inappropriately gyrating at music festivals and accepting any and all invites for a quick weekend getaway.

Seriously, give me a hammock and a chance to catch an epic sunset and I’m there quicker than a New York minute!

One of my favorite places to escape to is Great East Lake in New Hampshire. Just a quick two hour drive north of Boston, this little slice of heaven delivers all the tranquility I need after a hectic week in the city.

Now that the thermometer seems to be heading in the right direction, how will you spend your summer weekends? What are some of your favorite things to do? Tell me all about it!

Where: Great East Lake, Wakefield, New Hampshire

A very special thanks to the Bogosian family for sharing this treasure with me.
